I am the son of the late John A. Falasca, I am John Jr. and my son John 111 found this site and sent it to me here in Bradenton, FL. I would also like to mention that my son has a son John the 4th. I would like to thank all the fellow shippmates of my Dads that had attended his funneral and wake back in May 2000, My Dad was very proud of being a crewmen on the 585 Haraden and it was a pleasure meeting some of you at the wake and funneral. My Dad was a big man with a bigger heart and always would light up when he got word from one of his fellow shippmates, he loved the reuions and the time with you guys. I look thought the photos of the site with a lot of pride, knowing my Dad was part of this crew of the 585. He would really never talk about the war, only the good times he had had with you men, Dom Delessio, Jerry Doll Lilly. would be mentioned alot, the crossing of the equarder, the ship being hit ,and the freinds he lost on that day, his luandry room duty, and the battle station loader position he had when the ship got hit. I remember the sword my Dad had that is in the photos section, often wondered what happened to it, now I know. I have no photos to ad to the list that are not already there in this site. Thanks to all of you men for keeping my Dad alive thought the war so that I could be here to thank you all. With Great Respect, John A. Falasca Jr.
